MORE SITES TO DISPLAY YOUR ADS
After you've gotten the hang of Google AdWords, you should increase your reach by putting your ads on other websites...
We started with Google because they have the biggest share of the internet search market currently. In other words, more people use Google to search the web than any other search engine.
However, Google is not the only search engine. After you're comfortable with Google AdWords and you understand the PPC marketing concept, it's time to expand your territory and add other search engines to your marketing plan.
Other PPC sources use a similar format to Google AdWords. You will sign up with them, and type your ads directly into their forms. Why do you need to expand your reach outside of Google? There are a few compelling reasons...
Your ads will be seen by a greater percentage of internet users.
You can often get a lower cost-per-click (cheaper traffic) on smaller search engines.
You will have less competition from other PPC marketers on some of the search engines.
First we'll list the PPC sources that you should consider, and then we'll go over some free advertising sources. In order to maximize your success in our program, we recommend that you sign up for Yahoo Search Marketing plus at least one other PPC site below...
NOTE: With most of the above mentioned PPC sites, you will need to use your own website URL rather than hoplinks. That is another reason why it is important that you set up a website in Part 7. This is because some PPC providers will not allow you to link directly to an affiliate link (hoplink). The "review site" method which we discussed in Part 7 is a perfect solution.
Next we'll list some sites where you can post advertisements for free. Just don't get carried away. For one thing, PPC traffic is good quality targeted traffic, whereas traffic from free sources is often less targeted. Also, make sure you follow the instructions of each site. If they accuse you of spamming their site, you will lose the privilege of posting ads, and your reputatation could be tarnished.
Are you ready to move on to the next step?
Did you sign up with Yahoo Search Marketing?
Did you sign up with at least one of the additional PPC sites above?
Did you try out at least one of the free ad sites?
If you said YES to all three questions, then proceed to PART 9: More Partners
