This step is exactly what it sounds like...we're going to go back and do it again!
Sounds easy doesn't it? Well, it is! If you've made it this far into the program, then you already know MOST of what you need to know.
A great thing about this program is you don't need to reinvent the wheel, or continually learn new strategies. Once you learn it, you can do it over and over again, and each time it will increase your income. And there's no limit to the number of times you can repeat the process!
You can write as many ads as you want, and essentially create your own paycheck.
Go back to Part 3 and choose another product to promote.
This time, you will choose a different type of product. Again we recommend starting with products that are related to a topic you are interested in or that you know a lot about. However, after you have partnered with the ones you are interested in, you will be choosing products that you aren't interested in and don't know any thing about. The reason for choosing familiar topics to start with, is simply to make it easier as you're starting out.
You should choose a product which does not directly compete with any other products that you are promoting. It is OK if they compete in some regards, but not a direct competitor. The reason for this is that you don't want to use the same keywords for more than product.
Important Note: It is important to partner with some of the best-selling products, but also it is very important to partner with some new products which do not appear on any of the top-seller lists. You can find new products by clicking the "New Products" link, which you will find among the sub-categories.
After you've set up several campaigns for various products, you can go back and find some competing products to test and see which ones are more profitable. When you get to that point, you can use the tutorial below. However, if this is your first time here on Part 5, please skip over the following tutorial and continue with the "repeating" process.
| TUTORIAL: How to test competing products to see which will make more money for you:
As we just mentioned, you don't want to create separate campaigns for directly competing products, because the keywords could overlap. However, it is a good idea to try different competing products to see which one will earn the most money for your ads.
There is a very easy way to do this. Log into your Google AdWords account. Click on the campaign and then the Ad Group that you would like to test another product against. Right next to your ad, you will see an option to create a new "Text Ad". You will create another ad with the exact same text as the first one. The only thing different will be the URL's. For the new ad, use the web address and hoplink of the new product you would like to test.
Google will then alternate between the two ads. You can log in at any time and see the percentage of times that each ad is displayed. Then you can decide which product is better, based on which one earns you more commissions (you will learn more about tracking in Step 6). If one of them is earning more commissions than the other, then simply delete the ad that is earning less commission and keep the better one.

After you've chosen a new product to promote...
After you've repeated Part 3 and chosen another product from the ClickBank Marketplace, its time to write a new ad. However, you don't need to repeat all of Part 4 because you've already set up your Google AdWords account. Instead, you will login to your AdWords account.
Once you've logged in, you should be on the Campaign Summary page of the "Campaign Management" tab. Click to create a new keyword-targeted campaign.
On the next screen you will name your campaign...
On the next screen you will choose the location(s) to display your ad...
In general you will want to display your ads to the entire world, but there are certain cases where you may wish to limit it. For example, if you're writing an ad for a product about "real estate investment in the USA", you would probably be wasting money on clicks from people in other countries if you don't limit it to the United States.
The next screen will look like this...
Write a catchy headline, and a short ad which should be intended to make people want to visit their website. Google has some guidelines that must be followed, such as no misspellings, or no obscenity, etc.
Want more examples of ads? That's easy. Just go to www.google.com and do a search using some of the keywords related to the product you are writing about. You will see other people's AdWords ads, along the side of the page. Use those ads to get ideas, but don't copy them exactly.
After you write the ad, you need to enter the URL. A URL is simply a website address. For the "Display URL", enter the website address of your partner's website. For example: WritingCash.com. If your partner's URL will not fit into the Display URL box, that's OK. Just enter the main domain of your partner's website (for example, instead of writingcash.com/this-page.html, you can just type writingcash.com).
Now for the important part: the "Destination URL". Each product you promote will have it's own hoplink (affiliate link). When you chose this product from the ClickBank marketplace, hopefully you remembered to get the hoplink, like we did when you set up your first ad (see Part 3 of the program). Again, this is how you get credit for the ads you write! It is very important that you use the correct hoplink.
Whatever you do, make sure you enter the full hoplink into the "Destination URL". You need to use the full and correct hoplink so you get credit for the ad.
After you've finished writing the ad and entering your hoplink, click to continue...
Write a list of words that are related to your partner's company and product. It is important that you take some time and think of as many words as possible. In the "Improve" section (Part 10), we will talk about some extra tools you can use to create huge lists of keywords, but for now just think of as many as you can.
Just make sure the keywords are actually related to the product that your ad is advertising. These keywords will be used by Google to display your ad when these terms are searched for on their search engine. You want your ad to appear whenever someone is searching for something relevant to your topic.
If you need help thinking of some keywords, you can use the related-keyword tool which is built into the page. Make sure you use all the different variations of your keyword. For example writer and writers. You should even include misspellings, such as "writr", "Writor", etc.
After you have entered a list of keywords, click to continue...
Set a daily budget. In general, the more money you spend to show your ad, the more money you will make from your partner. However, you need to start small until we get to Part 6, which is Tracking. For now, set any amount you are comfortable with. For example, $5/day would be a good starting point.
You will then enter a cost per click (CPC). Again, you will need to start small until you begin tracking your results in Part 6. A good starting point would be 5 cents per click.
Then click to continue. After you've checked to make sure your ad and keywords look correct, go ahead and save the campaign...
After you finish setting up the campaign, go back and do it again!
Before continuing to the next part of the program, we recommend setting up at least three campaigns to make sure you have a good feel of how it works. You don't have to do it all at once! Remember, you are your own boss and you set your own hours. If you're feeling overwhelmed right now, take a little break and then come back later and set up another campaign.
A very common question we get is, "how many products should I promote?"
You might not like this answer because it's vague, but here it is,
"as many as it takes to meet your goals."
If your goal is to make an extra $200/week then it might take 2 campaigns or it might take 20. It depends on which products you're promoting, and how effective your ads are. If your goal is to make $50,000 per month, then you will probably need a lot of campaigns.
Some campaigns might make $10/month of profit for you, while others could make $1000. As long as it's making money, then it's a good campaign. Don't worry if you don't hit a goldmine on your first try. Most people build up several profitable campaigns making smaller amounts of money before they hit a huge one.
It's hard to know which ones will be the biggest earners. If we could be sure, we would simply tell you exactly which products to promote. However, things on the internet are always changing so it's more important that you learn how to use this program to find and promote products on your own. If you can master this skill, then you will always have a source of potential income.
By using this program combined with the techniques in the "Improve" section (Part 10), some people are making tens of thousands and in some cases over $100,000 per month just from a small number of campaigns. There are various techniques that can increase the profitability of a campaign, which could effectively allow you to make more money with fewer campaigns.
But for now, take the time to set up several campaigns, and we'll learn about optimization later. It's important that you learn this process step-by-step.
Are you ready to move on to the next step?
Have you successfully set up at least three AdWords campaigns?
Are you comfortable with the process of choosing products and setting up campaigns?
If you answered YES, then proceed to PART 6: Tracking
