I didn.t know why it was, but it was. There wasn't really nothing wrong with me really. I was a sixteen year old black male, Six feet tall, slim and muscular, but school still was like being in hell for me. My peers teased me becaude I couldn't play basketball or football. They teased me because I didn't have any friends and I usually find myself talking to myself, because I was so lonely. Sometimes I only talked out loud for someone to give an opinion back, not a tease-back nor an insult. Two years before, I had this friend named Kenyon in ninth grade, but he abandoned me. I then became desperate for a frined, but at my school, when everyone knew you, you hardly had a chance of making friends. So animals became my subsitutes of friends. I started off with this leopard gecko names Gitty, but then it turned into an obsession. Whenever I went to the pet store, I would feel the animals are telling me to get them telepathically and I get them. I ended up with six leopard geckos. Everytime, I ran into Kenyon in the hall, he was always with somebody. I was ashamed and didn't want him to see me alone. So I would walk another way or not give him eye contact. Sometimes, I felt bad about Kenyon, like feelings of hate, but I wanted him back. I never ate in the lunchroom, because it was embarrassing to eat all by yourself when you see everyone else talking. When you are sitting at a table all by yourself, you will feel a cold, lonely, disconforting chill come down your spine, so I ate in the classroom. School was a nightmare to me, especially yearbook signing day. I couldn't get nobody to sign my yearbook, also people hung with their friends. Only if I had a friend, proberly I would be a different person today. Proberly I would trust people more, nad consider the nicest people to be my friends, like I used to when I was desperate for friends. Being a loner only made me stronger though. It got me prepared for the real world. When I see people from high school today, the people who thought they were the stuff, I will laugh at them in my head, cause they are struggling to survive in this real world and I was already prepared.
